- Extensive experience with all aspects of fixing and
building housing and related infrastructure. Specifically: plumbing, roofing, electrical,
woodworking/carpentry, masonry/tile, painting, and finish work.
- Eight years of experience as a field biologist. Worked with birds and plants,
especially the Cactus Ferruginous Pygmy-owl. Companies include University of Arizona, SWCA Biological
Consultants, National Park Service: Inventory and Monitoring Program, Center
for Biological Diversity, Maricopa Audubon Society.
- Seven years experience accounting, bookkeeping, and
administration for both small and large non-profit entities including Sky
Island Alliance, Earth First! Journal, and Mt. Graham Coalition.
- Extensive knowledge of Southwest ecosystems and
geography especially Arizona and Sonora, Mexico. Specialize in birds and plants with some knowledge of herps
and mammals.
- Skilled river rafter and guide.
- Skilled out-doorsman. Many years of experience backpacking, camping and river
rafting in remote areas, including being responsible for others.
- Capable with GPS, maps, and compass.
- Familiar with PC, Mac, and Linux operating
systems. Proficient with Word,
Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Quickbooks, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, ArcGIS, among
others. Basic understanding and
experience with computer hardware.
- Familiar with website creation and development. Experienced with Dreamweaver and basic
HTML, as well as all details of making websites live.
- Published photographer with experience in Nature,
portrait, and documentation photography.
- Experienced landscaper and gardener. Familiar with most native trees and
shrubs and have also helped install water harvesting and permaculture projects.
- Extensively published artist. Specialize in fine art of birds and other animals.
- Experience organizing events and shows. Have organized dozens of successful
events of various kinds including music shows, fundraising events, and
protests.
- A decade of experience as a property manager, both with
personally owned property as well as with client's property.
- Decent understanding and experience repairing vehicles, including bicycles.
- Experienced beer brewer.
